Our 4 Favorite Detox Bath Recipes

There are all kinds of detox concoctions for your body out there ranging from juices and powders to hours or days of starvation. Toxins are a reality of our world, contributing to poor health, but at OrganoLeaf, we believe in simple solutions to work with our miraculous bodies rather than subjecting them to extreme and punishing detox regimens. Our favorite way to detox is a delightfully relaxing bath. We have 4 simple detox bath recipes we just know you’ll love as much as we do.

Ginger Lemon Bath:

  • ⅓ cup epsom salt
  • ½ cup coarse sea salt
  • 3 tsp ginger
  • ½ lemon squeezed

Epsom salt is known to improve heart health while lemon rejuvenates and conditions. This recipe also combines the properties of ginger to ease muscle pain and rid the body of toxins, allowing you to feel great in no time.

 

Lavender Milk Bath:

  • Add 5 drops of lavender essential oil to warm running bath water along with
  • 2 cups powdered milk

Lavender works wonders on your body with a soothing aromatherapy power to relieve stress. Once you add powdered milk to the lavender, you’ll enrich your detox bath with the strengthening properties of milk for your skin and body. We’ve also discovered powdered milk can be ultra soothing for sunburns, perfect as the summer winds down if you catch yourself getting a few too many rays.

 

Rose Petal and Olive Oil Bath:

  • 1 cup rose petals
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil

Simply gather rose petals and place them in your running bath water. Add in your olive oil and relax.  Rose petals not only make you smell great and feel pampered, they are filled with Vitamin C to brighten your skin. Olive oil can help reduce wrinkles and moisturize your skin so you can look and feel fresh in minutes.

Turmeric Bath:

Turmeric’s anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties will soothe your achy body after a busy day and unclog your pores to help your skin look and feel amazing. Be careful to keep all clothing away from your turmeric bath to avoid staining. Don’t worry if your bathtub sports a yellow glow afterwards. Just wipe down with your usual cleaning product. Your skin shouldn’t be noticeably colored either, but if so, it will wash away easily.
